| Gerry Mancuso, percussionist for "The Impressions" |
Gerry Mancuso is a refined percussionist who is classically trained. Gerry has a background of sharing the
stage with some legends namely Louie Armstrong, Gene Krupa, and Ernst Hawkins. Gerry performed professionally with
the Niagara/Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra for 7 years.
Gerry's background is quite impressive. He studied theory under Mr. Eli Sakes, who was a retired percussionist
with the US Army Air Force Orchestra. His advanced studies continued with Dr. George B. D'Anna (PhD), formally lead
percussionist with the London Symphony, NY & Buffalo Philharmonic. Gerry completed his musical education overseas
and was an accepted teacher at the Hoch Schule for Music at Graz, Austria. Mr. Mancuso now performs with his accompaniment,
Dominic on keyboards, in his band called "The Impressions".
Gerry, as of late, has been traveling as a studio musician for jazz and big band music projects. He
maintains his high excellence in percussion by performing popular "Duke Ellington" compositions.
